This program could probably be best called "Web Conferencing for Dummies".
But this was a good program, very basic but then again, it's not like I am an expert in web conferencing.
Now that we have a WebEx license, I was just interested in learning more about doing webinars, web-based meetings, and other applications that can be done online. This is one area where rural libraries seem to be leading the parade (probably out of necessity as much as anything) but the presenters were very clear and organized (probably essential for web conferencing!)
I think this was a good example of why PLA can be such a good conference. This particular program had maybe 35 people in the room but the topic was relevant, and at least this time, the speakers were all uniformly good.

At our last ILS Children's Services meeting held in Palm Springs they mentioned the possibility of implementing web-based meeting vs. trying to get people to meet at an onsite location. Since I was one of the 3 non-Palm Springs attendees, I hope web-based meetings will encourage more attendence!
